Lamin Daniel Jadama

Lamin Daniel Jadama, is a film director, producer and visual artist, born 1976 in Stockholm, Sweden. He has a Masters Degree in Artistic Research/Documentary Processes from the Stockholm University of the Arts. Initiated and co-directed the tv series, Fonko (Story, 2014), the feature length, Fonko (Story/WDR, 2016), premiered at the BFI LFF (2016), screened at festivals and television, worldwide. He is the founder of the production company, Machete, producing narratives that circulates around identity, class and post colonial perspectives. Produced and directed, They Call Us – Sneakerheadz (SVT, 2019) LDJ has worked as a DJ and producer for the Swedish National Radio, SR. Produced radio documentaries for Story/ SR. Board member of CinemAfrica – Northern Europe’s largest film festival dedicated to African and diasporic film. Produced visual installations, Black Ocean (The Fringe Festival) and The Door of No Return (The Royal Theatre Dramaten, Stockholm) – The National Black Theatre of Sweden.
